Nathaniel Hughes

Revolutionary War

Nathaniel Hughes, born c1750 probably Va., died after he sold land 13 Sept 1787 in Va. or S.C. He served as a soldier in the Virginia State Continental Line. He received a land warrant, #394, in 1782 for his services. From Va. Mil. Dist. of Ohio. He took the oath of Allegiance in 1777 in Pittsylvania County Virginia.

At the time of his service he lived in Pittsylvania County Virginia.

His wife was Rebekah was born c1750 probably Va., and died about 1813 when her estate was settled in the Pendleton Dist, Anderson Co., S.C. They married about 1764 probably in Va. Rebekah married next Samuel Neel in S.C.
