Anthony Thompson

Immigrant Ancestor from England in the "Hector" in 1637

Anthony Thompson, born 1612 in Coventry, England, died September 1648 at New Haven, New Haven Co., Ct. Anthony's will is dated 23 March 1647., proven 27 May 1650.

He married 1st Mary Welby, and he married 2nd Katherine ( ), who married 2nd, 14 July 1652 to Nicholas Camp of Milford, Ct.

Anthony had brothers John and William. Anthony came on the "Hector" arriving at Boston on 26 June 1637 and was a founder at Quinnipiack, later known as New Haven, Ct. In company with Gov. Eaton and the Rev. John Davenport, he signed the Compact on 4 June 1639.

He was a soldier in Indian troubles in 1642.
