Martha Virginia "Mattie" Brown, daughter of Morris Perry Brown and Anna Mixon Brown. She was born April 20, 1887 in Varnville, South Carolina, and died January 14, 1964 in Buckner, Franklin Co. Illinois. She married John Logan Buckner of Buckner, Illinois, September 08, 1916. Martha is a fourteenth generation descendant of Rychard Buckner, born about 1475, and Mary Fabian, of Comnor, Whitley, Berkshire, England.

The child in the goat cart is Elva Morris Buckner, daughter of John Logan Buckner and Martha Virginia Brown Buckner.

The children are Elva and her brother Logan, children of John Logan and Martha Buckner.

I might mention that while I am the grandaughter of John Logan's first wife, Mary Tabitha Hammons. Roberta is the granddaughter of his last wife, Martha Virginia Brown. This is why we have different photos.
